Relief Work in West Africa

Jerrahi Sufis have a long tradition of community work and service to help humankind.

They achieved success by organizing fundraisers for IDRF, raising money locally for Angela’s Place (Peel Region), and extending their support internationally to a community in the village of Irem, Burkina Faso. The Jerrahi community remained steadfast in its commitment to service and compassion. As part of their efforts in Irem, they encouraged some of their dedicated international supporters to assist in the construction of water and irrigation wells. This initiative provided the village with access to clean drinking water and sustainable irrigation systems, enhancing agricultural productivity and significantly improving the overall quality of life for the community.
